ImaliPay, an embedded financial services platform for underserved gig workers and marketplaces across Africa, has signed a deal with ecommerce fulfilment solution Renda.
The partnership will simplify and streamline the fulfilment process for enterprise and medium-sized businesses in Africa, starting with Nigeria.
The two companies will provide key services to businesses, claiming to make it easier to reach their target audiences and for consumers to access products and services they need.
Nigeria-based Renda’s technology enables ecommerce businesses to book storage space, monitor their inventory, process high volumes of orders and ensure real-time collection of cash on delivery. Among its clients are Omnibiz, Marketforce360 and Kyosk.
Founded in 2019, also in Nigeria, ImaliPay offers four main embedded financial products: automated reconciliation, a BNPL engine, payments and ledgers-as-a-service. Its clients include FleetSimplify, KeraPay and Propel.
Ope Onabaye, founder and chief executive officer at Renda, emphasised that “having a supportive and knowledgeable fintech partner is crucial when looking to expand into new markets, a common challenge many businesses face”.
Sanmi Akinmusire, co-founder and chief operating officer at ImaliPay, commented: “Our goal is to drive growth, increase efficiency and bring innovation to the table through modular API technology, making this partnership timely for both startups.”
