Revolut also announced Tap to Pay on iPhone for business customers in the UK

Digital bank Revolut has launched an in-app marketplace for tours, activities and attractions, named Experiences, enabling users to book their travel activities through the app and receive up to 10% cashback.

The new feature will be available to customers in the UK and Europe, and adds to its current travel products, which include a travel card, insurance and a hotel booking feature.

Customers pay for the experiences using their Revolut account. Three percent cashback is given on Standard and Plus plans, 5% on Premium, and 10% on Metal and Ultra plans.

Revolut launched in the UK in 2015 offering money transfer and exchange. Early this year, the fintech reported—in a much-delayed publication—its first annual profit for 2021. The company currently has 30m users and processes 400m transactions a month.

Christopher Guttridge, general manager of lifestyle products at Revolut, commented on the launch of Experiences: “We know that new experiences are the best part of holidays. Therefore, we’re excited to now offer our UK and EEA customers access to the world’s largest marketplace for tours, activities and attractions.

“Experiences joins our suite of travel products, as we continue to deliver ongoing innovations aimed at meeting our customers’ travel needs to supercharge their trips.”

In other company news, Revolut has enabled Tap to Pay on iPhone for business and freelance customers in the UK.

Revolut is one of the first companies to enable this feature for business customers in the UK, alongside NatWest.

Alex Codina, general manager of merchant acquiring at Revolut, said: “The launch of Tap to Pay on iPhone allows us to offer greater choice for both consumers and merchants in the UK. We expect to see all kinds of businesses, from retail stores to barbershops and food stands, quickly start accepting in-person contactless payments with only an iPhone.”
