The digital bank will publish advice soon on how to help stay safe from fraudsters who are using the coronavirus pandemic to scam people
Starling Bank has begun an information campaign to reassure its personal and business customers, promising to provide advice on protection against fraudsters taking advantage of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and share tips for small businesses and freelancers on how to cope with the current challenges.
“First off, we want you to know that we have everything in place to keep the bank running as smoothly as ever, and to keep you going about your normal business and keep your money safe. We’re here to reassure you that at least for your money, it’s business as usual,” Starling Bank said in a blog post.
As a digital bank, “moving to remote working is pretty seamless”, meaning that all of its services, from real-time notifications for transactions to easy bill payments, will remain unaffected.
Starling Bank has also put in place “robust measures” to ensure that it can continue providing 24/7 customer support via chat or in-app.
“We are all affected by the coronavirus, but for some of us this may mean an especially hard strain on the finances,” Starling Bank said.
“If you are experiencing challenges in managing your finances with Starling, please reach out to our customer support team. As usual, our specialist support teams are ready to deal with all issues on a case by case basis.”
Starling Bank offered tips for working from home, particularly for freelancers, and answered some of the most common travel concerns.
