Lyfeguard has a trusted user function, whereby family and friends can access Farewill’s direct cremation and probate solutions to help deal with death “simply and affordably”

Lyfeguard, a life-planning and management platform, has partnered with Farewill to provide end-of-life planning solutions.

As part of the partnership, Lyfeguard customers can access discounted Farewill services within the platform.

UK-headquartered Farewill offers will writing, funeral and probate services.

Also headquartered in the UK, Lyfeguard has a trusted user function, whereby family and friends can access Farewill’s direct cremation and probate solutions to help deal with death “simply and affordably”.

The partnership also aims to increase the need and awareness for a will, and simplify the process. According to research from Canada Life, 56% of UK adults, which equates to 29.6m people, have not written a will.

Furthermore, 76% of people have not put money aside to pay for their funeral, a report from SunLife said.

Dan Garrett, chief executive officer of Farewill, commented: “Without a will those left behind face the burden and uncertainty of having to make really important decisions during one of life’s toughest moments.

“Lyfeguard understand the importance of end-of-life planning. Together we will make dealing with death simple and affordable for families across the UK.”

Fraser Stewart, co-founder and chief commercial officer for Lyfeguard, added: “Our companies share the same values, particularly when it comes to the importance of acquiring and carefully managing the information an individual needs in-life to make the process at end-of-life easier.”
