As AI Redraws Auto Finance, X Star Lands Multiple Asia FinTech Awards 2026 Nominations

Two of X Star’s products, Xport and X Credit, have been shortlisted at the Asia FinTech Awards 2026 in both LendTech of the Year and SaaS Product of the Year, placing the company among the most closely watched names in the region’s automotive finance sector. The winners will be announced on 21 August 2026 in Singapore.

Of all the corners of financial services, auto finance has been one of the slowest to modernise. It is a high-value, long-horizon process that runs across several parties at once, with dealers, banks, and car buyers each holding a different piece of the puzzle. Applications move through layers of paperwork and manual checks, and a single deal can pass between systems that were never designed to speak to one another. For a long time, this complexity was accepted as the cost of doing business.

That assumption is now being tested. Across Asia Pacific, a wave of AI-native platforms is rebuilding the mechanics of vehicle financing from the ground up, compressing days of back-and-forth into minutes and giving everyone in the chain a clearer view of what is happening. X Star sits close to the centre of that shift, and the Asia FinTech Awards judges have taken note.

A Double Nomination

At this year’s Asia FinTech Awards, two of X Star’s flagship platforms, Xport and X Credit, have each been named finalists in LendTech of the Year and SaaS Product of the Year. The recognition is telling for what the two products share. Both are built to take friction out of automotive finance, and both treat the problem as one of shared infrastructure that many participants can build on.

The awards drew a competitive field from across Asia and recognise organisations driving real progress in financial technology. For X Star, earning a place on the shortlist in two categories with two different products points to a consistent view of where the industry is heading.

Xport: Rebuilding the Dealer’s Financing Journey

Xport is an AI-powered auto-finance platform built for car dealers. In the older way of working, a dealer arranging finance for a customer would approach lenders one after another, with little visibility into where each application stood. The outcome was slow approvals, uneven results, and a great deal of repeated effort.

Xport reworks that journey. It captures and structures customer and vehicle information, takes an early read on credit, and matches each application to the lenders most likely to approve it. From a single submission, a dealer can reach several financial institutions at once and watch offers arrive in real time. Behind the scenes, multimodal AI reads and interprets customer and vehicle documents as they are uploaded, catching errors on the spot, while an AI decision engine assesses each applicant’s credit, builds a risk profile, and shortlists the best-fit lenders before anything is sent.

The value shows up on all three sides of the transaction. Dealers see faster turnarounds and higher conversion. Car buyers get quicker, more transparent financing with greater certainty of approval. Lenders receive pre-screened applications already matched to their criteria, which eases the manual underwriting load. Within its first months in market, Xport had brought more than 880 dealers across Singapore and Malaysia onto the platform and cut application processing time by more than ninety per cent, from around twenty minutes to under two.

Part of what makes the model compelling is its network effect: as more dealers and lenders join, the platform becomes increasingly valuable for everyone. Xport’s roadmap reaches beyond loan submission into the wider set of tools dealers depend on day-to-day, and the platform is already preparing to widen its footprint across Southeast Asia.

X Star’s Proprietary Harness Infrastructure

What truly differentiates Xport is the proprietary AI governance infrastructure behind it. Known as the Harness, it enables AI agents and humans to work together seamlessly within the same workflow—combining automation with human oversight to ensure speed, accuracy, and compliance.

The Harness integrates three core capabilities: coordinating human-AI collaboration, monitoring AI outputs and escalating exceptions, and maintaining secure, traceable data flows for regulatory compliance. Together, they allow routine tasks to be automated while ensuring complex or high-risk cases receive human review, creating a trusted AI operating model for automotive finance.

X Credit: Decisioning as Shared Infrastructure

Where Xport serves the dealer, X Credit is built for the financial institutions on the other side of the deal. It is an automated, configuration-driven decisioning platform that brings underwriting, risk-based pricing, fraud detection, and strategy management together in one place.

Much of the friction inside a lender comes from rigid systems that need engineering time for every change. X Credit hands that control back to business and risk teams through a visual, low-code interface, so a strategy can be adjusted and put live in a fraction of the time it once took. Decisions run quickly, with an average decision time of around eight seconds and a high share of cases handled automatically, which frees risk teams to focus on the exceptions that call for real judgement. AI runs through the core of this. It steers each application down the decision path best matched to its risk, and a real-time fraud engine reads behavioural, market and channel signals to surface anomalies early, reaching up to 98 per cent accuracy.

The platform has been localised across Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan, and now supports more than fifty financial institutions, backed by proprietary scoring and risk-based pricing capabilities tuned for vehicle finance. Every decision that flows through it adds to a feedback loop that sharpens the next one, so the system becomes more useful the more it is used.

A Signal Worth Reading

The market is large, still under-served in places, and ready for infrastructure that connects its many participants. What stands out about X Star’s approach is the way AI serves as the foundation these platforms are built on, with human oversight kept firmly in the loop at the points where it counts.

Recognition of this kind carries weight because it signals to the wider ecosystem, from dealers and lenders to regulators, that a more connected model of automotive finance has moved from promise into everyday practice. For a company operating across several markets at once, an independent shortlist is a useful external marker of that progress.

The winners of the Asia FinTech Awards 2026 will be announced on 21 August 2026 in Singapore, where finalists, judges, and fintech leaders from around the region will gather. Whatever the results on the night, the shortlist itself reflects how quickly automotive finance in Asia Pacific is being rethought, and X Star intends to keep helping to write the next chapter.
