The winners of the UK FinTech Awards 2026, in association with Lockton, have been announced, recognising the organisations and individuals driving innovation, impact and excellence across the UK FinTech sector.
Held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel St Paul’s in London during UK FinTech Week, the awards brought together leading FinTech companies, startups, investors and industry figures for an evening celebrating the continued growth and evolution of the ecosystem.
Now firmly established as a key date in the FinTech calendar, the UK FinTech Awards highlight the breadth of innovation shaping financial services, from payments and lending to regtech, digital assets and data-led solutions.
This year’s entries reflected a consistently high standard, with judges noting not only the pace of innovation, but the increasing maturity of solutions being brought to market. A strong emphasis on real-world application, scalability and measurable impact was evident across many of the winning submissions.
Colin Payne, Head of Innovation at the FCA and Chair of the judging panel, said:
“It was a real pleasure to serve as Chief Judge for this year’s UK FinTech Awards, and to spend the evening celebrating one of the most dynamic, creative and important sectors in the UK economy.
The standard of entries was exceptionally high, but what stood out was the breadth of ambition – firms tackling real-world challenges in payments, lending, inclusion, regtech, digital assets, AI, customer experience and financial resilience. Not abstract ideas or innovation for its own sake, but practical, purposeful solutions with the potential to improve markets and deliver better outcomes for consumers and businesses.
Choosing the winners was genuinely difficult. The strongest entries combined technical excellence with clarity of purpose, commercial momentum and a deep understanding of the markets they serve. The winners should be incredibly proud. They represent the best of UK FinTech – bold, disciplined, inventive and globally relevant.
The awards night itself captured the energy of the sector perfectly. It brought together founders, scale-ups, investors, institutions and ecosystem partners who continue to make the UK such a powerful FinTech centre. There was a tangible confidence in the room, but also now a maturity. This is a sector that continues to evolve, professionalise and lead.
Congratulations to all the winners, finalists and everyone who entered. The quality of the field is a reminder that UK FinTech remains one of the most exciting innovation stories anywhere in the world.”
The ceremony was hosted by television presenter and comedian Alex Zane, with the evening featuring a drinks reception, dinner and live entertainment, alongside the awards presentation itself.
In addition to celebrating industry success, the event also supported National Children’s Air Ambulance through a charity raffle and silent auction, raising valuable funds during the evening.
A milestone moment for FinTech Intel
This year’s awards also coincided with the relaunch of FinTech Intel as a global FinTech ecosystem, marking a strategic shift from a traditional news platform to a more integrated hub for the industry.
The new platform is designed to support FinTech companies at every stage of growth, connecting the ecosystem through enhanced visibility, community engagement and access to opportunities across content, jobs, events and partnerships.
Unveiled during UK FinTech Week, the relaunch reflects the same themes seen across this year’s awards, collaboration, scalability and a more connected global FinTech landscape.
