The cloud-enabled APIs of Digibanc will allow Fortek subscribers to enter the African market quicker, scale and customise products for their customers

Fortek, a Ghanaian financial services provider, has announced it will utilise Codebase Technologies’s Digibanc software-as-a-service (Saas) platform.

The two companies want to accelerate digitisation in Africa, to stimulate entrepreneurship and grow the economy, by providing affordable, accessible and transparent financial services in the region.

Founded in 1998, Codebase Technologies provide API banking solutions to financial institutions.

Headquartered in Dubai, UAE, its digital banking products include onboarding, payments and buy-now-pay-later.

The cloud-enabled APIs of Digibanc will allow Fortek subscribers to enter the African market quicker, scale and customise products for their customers.

Felix Quarcoe, managing director at Fortek, commented on the partnership: “Our goal since day one has been to drive financial inclusion and development to cater for Africa’s growing economy and fill in the gaps that traditional institutions have ignored for so long.

“We are creating a solution that will help anyone, anywhere, anytime.”

Codebase Technologies commercial director and Africa managing director Paul Nilsen added: “If today’s fintechs, neobanks, challengers, and corporates want to address customer pain points effectively, they must conform to their demands, not the other way round.

“Modernising their offerings and harnessing the power of today’s technologies like the cloud and APIs to improve customer experience and innovate will be the backbone of success.”
