Incore Invest’s backing to accelerate Kameo’s expansion

Kameo, an investment platform, has received a £1.1m investment from Incore Invest as part of a £2.26m share issuance.

Stockholm-headquartered Kameo helps private individuals, companies and institutions invest directly in loans for property projects throughout Scandinavia. With more than 65,000 investors registered, users can invest on the platform starting from £38.

The partnership with Incore Invest aims to improve Kameo’s strategic development plans and support its growth. Nicolai Chamizo, chief executive officer and founder at Incore Invest, will join Kameo’s board in an advisory position as part of the deal.

Before the investment, some Incore Invest team members had been using the platform for many years and were impressed with the loan marketplace solution. Stokholm-headquartered Incore Invest has backed many successful Sweden-based startups, including Brite Payments, Savr and Mynt.

Sebastian Martens Harung, chief executive officer and co-founder of Kameo, said: “We are excited about the prospect of collaborating with the company to further accelerate Kameo’s growth, bolstered by its expert leadership team and demonstrated track record of successfully scaling up prominent fintechs.

“The inclusion of Chamizo on our board will be a vital asset as we approach this important phase of our development. It gives us even greater support to continue navigating a sector in flux.”

Speaking on the deal, Chamizo, said: “Kameo is a game-changing company in the property investment sector and looks primed for a breakout year in 2024.

“With Incore Invest’s support, we’re making it easier for developers to get the funding they need, whilst also making it possible for private investors to invest in high-quality loans through an easy-to-use, modern platform.

“We’re fully committed to leveraging our deep expertise and powerful network to enhance the company’s market presence and operational excellence along its exciting growth journey.”
