The licence allows DPO Pay to become a payment service provider in Tanzania
DPO Pay, an Africa-based payment gateway, has received approval from the Bank of Tanzania to operate as a payment service provider in the country.
Its payment solutions enable businesses and individuals to accept local and international payments, through cards, mobile money and electronic transfers.
The company is used by more 60,000 merchants, including airlines, hotels, online retailers and logistics companies and is focused on expanding its network.
Founded in 2006, DPO Pay operates in 21 countries throughout Africa, with headquarters in Kenya and South Africa, and its international office in Dublin, Ireland.
Network International acquired the payment provider in 2021 and increased its presence in the MENA region in the process.
