Elavon and Softpay offer new SoftPOS solution

Agreement with leading Nordic technology company to benefit merchants across Europe by turning any Android device into a payment terminal

Elavon customers in Europe can now accept card payments using their smartphones after the global payments provider partnered with Danish company Softpay.

The new technology will allow merchants to turn any Android mobile device into a fully card-present payments terminal. All that’s needed is to download an application that integrates with the Elavon payments platform. No additional hardware is necessary.  

Elavon and Softpay teamed up after seeing a huge demand for a SoftPOS product like this. It’ll be of particular help to small and new businesses. They’ll be able to start taking payments instantly, giving owners time to focus on other important aspects of running and growing a business.
