Businesses worried about cyber and payments security should look to digital platform providers such as Shieldpay, which allows the movement of funds to be approved from anywhere in a secure manner with two-factor authentication and full visibility for all parties involved in a transaction

Payments protection provider Shieldpay has written a guide to remote working during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The paytech, which has enacted operational resilience and business continuity plans to respond to risks and hazards that may affect business for its clients and customers, highlighted “opportunities for managers and their employees to use the coming weeks and months” of remote working “to build solid foundations and take a long-term view on the success of their businesses”.

Positives such as work-life balance, lower commuting times and the ability to spend more time with family are all “big plus points for remote workers”, according to Shieldpay.

Employers worried about a drop off in communication between team members can turn to Slack and Microsoft Teams, which “offer slick instant messenger tools for individuals and teams”, while Zoom and Google Hangouts provide “smooth solutions for conference calls and meetings”.

Modern technology also offers solutions for employee and team management. Shieldpay uses Monday.com, a project management suite that allows a manager to track all of their projects and tasks.

Case management systems used by many law firms, meanwhile, allow firms to track the progress of the cases and allocated team members tasks. A good example is Legal Connection, which puts communication between clients and teams of lawyers at its core, and combines all the various tools necessary to run a business in one place.

Legal Connection has fully integrated Shieldpay’s Third-Party-Managed Account solution.
