Thredd’s payment processing technology will enhance security and convenience in corporate software subscription management for Spendbase clients

Thredd, a leading global payments processor, has signed a U.S. processing agreement with Spendbase, a prominent software subscription management platform backed by Google. This collaboration marks Thredd’s second U.S. client and signals Spendbase’s market expansion into North America.

Spendbase specialises in helping businesses optimise corporate software usage and spending. Thanks to the partnership with Thredd, U.S. customers will soon benefit from a new product—corporate virtual cards for SaaS subscription payments. These virtual cards provide companies with more control and transparency over their expenses.

Spendbase has selected Thredd to power their U.S. expansion by issuing and processing virtual cards for their subscription payments. Businesses that manage a large supplier base, such as Spendbase, are looking to virtual card technology to enable secure, fast and traceable payments.

“We are delighted to be working with Spendbase to streamline their supplier payments,” Kevin Fox, chief revenue officer, Thredd commented. “This is our first net-new client to choose Thredd because we can connect them to the U.S.  Unlike other EU providers, we were able to offer Spendbase U.S.-compliant debit card processing in time for their anticipated Q3 launch date.”

Andrew Alex, chief executive officer, Spendbase, added: “We have selected Thredd as our issuer processor for the U.S. market because they demonstrated both a deep understanding of our ambitions as well as modern processing capabilities, and we are confident in their ability to meet our plans for a successful U.S. launch later this year.”

The news comes not long after Thredd expanded its product and technology team with four appointments.
