The new recruits will strengthen Salv’s management team as it plans to scale the company and enter new markets.

Salv, a regtech founded by former Wise and Skype employees, has made a number of appointments following its $4m funding round.

The Estonia-based regtech has hired Lauri Haav as chief growth officer, Gristel Tali as chief product officer, Maarja-Liis Mitri as chief financial officer and Kimberli Lis Kopli as head of people.

The new recruits will strengthen Salv’s management team as it plans to scale the company and enter new markets.

Salv offers a suite of products to help Europe-based financial institutions, payment service providers and money-service businesses meet their AML and customer risk assessment needs.

It currently works with more than 50 financial institutions across Europe and recently expanded into other countries, including Poland.

Haav joins Salv from his role as managing director at Estonia’s e-residency programme. Prior to this, he worked at HSBC-backed mobile bank Monese.

Tali most recently worked for software company Katana, Kopli joins Salv from mobility platform Bolt, and Mitrin has experience at Nasdaq-listed Bercman Technologies and software development company Mooncascade.

Taavi Tamkivi, chief executive officer and co-founder of Salv, said: “With the combined experience of these executives, I am confident that we will be able to help more organisations put an end to financial crime and expand the reach of our world’s first GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)-compliant cross-border collaborative crime-fighting platform, Bridge, that’s proven to be effective against money laundering, sanctions screening and the rapidly climbing cases of authorised push payments fraud.”
