Carey O’Connor Kolaja brings 25 years of experience in financial services and payments, including time at PayPal, to the role
Versapay has appointed Carey O’Connor Kolaja as its chief executive officer.
Kolaja takes over the Canada-based company’s strategic direction and day-to-day operations as former chief executive officer Craig O’Neill moves into a strategic advisory role.
The appointment comes on the back of significant growth for the company. Versapay recently announced 1m companies on its payment network, an 82% year-over-year increase in software bookings, and the acquisition of DadeSystems to bolster its AI and machine learning capabilities.
Kolaja brings 25 years of experience in financial services and payments to the role.
She was previously chief executive officer of AU10TIX, an identity verification company, and has also worked at Citi Fintech and PayPal.
On her new role, Kolaja, said: “I look forward to leading us through the next stage of growth and am thankful for the leadership that has positioned us as a pioneer in the AR automation and B2B payments space.”
Matt Vettel, managing director of Great Hill Partners and Versapay board member, commented: “I’m confident that Carey’s leadership and vast experience will build on the great foundation and allow Versapay to reach even greater heights.”
