Jameel Lalani joins Compare the Market

He's joining as the new commercial director for money

Jameel Lalani has joined Compare the Market as commercial director for money. In his new role, Jameel is responsible for Compare the Market’s money products including credit cards and personal loans as the much-loved price comparison website continues to build a talented team and expand its choice for customers.

Jameel joins Compare the Market from the Proptech company, Smoove, where he has spent four years as chief product officer. Before this role, Jameel spent nearly five years at Moneysupermarket Group, where he held commercial director roles covering mortgages, banking and MoneySavingExpert.

Jameel’s appointment, first announced earlier this year, is part of a wider acceleration of Compare the Market’s expansion across product lines outside of insurance. Compare the Market’s money business has grown considerably since January as the firm has increased its panel of lenders and launched a new eligibility platform. Compare the Market recently announced that Zopa Bank and Lendable have become the latest credit card and loan integrations to its panel.  The firm is currently focused on increasing the range of money products available to help customers make great financial decisions which suit their circumstances.
